Yes, next question – Is DOJ Obstructing Congress in the Trump Surveillance Case? | Trending

Refusing to turn over this memo until threatened with contempt and impeachment is evidence of a Justice Department that refuses to recognize the legitimate authority of Congress to conduct oversight and investigate an executive branch agency.

Substantive questions have been raised: about the FBI’s possible reliance on unverified claims; about the use of opposition research paid for by a political opponent; and about the subsequent removal of various FBI and DOJ officials. Such questions lead one to wonder: Does the lack of cooperation mean that the FBI and Justice have something to hide? Let’s hope that not’s the case.

Yes, next question.

You only get the part of the story that fits the MSM narrative – Trump Tax Cuts Are Boosting Growth And Mostly Paying For Themselves, CBO Report Says

Among the many details in the report, the one reporters focused on was the CBO’s forecast that the federal deficit would top $1 trillion in 2020, two years earlier than the CBO had previously said.

And, naturally, most news accounts blamed the tax cuts. “U.S. budget deficit to balloon on Republican tax cuts” is how Reuters put it in a headline.

But there’s more to the story that the media overlooked.

Read the whole thing.

John Caldera – To Boulder’s anti-gun bigots, I will not comply with your hate law

Let it be known, like those who refused to go to the back of the bus, I will not surrender or destroy my guns, nor will I place my name on a government watch list.

Since John has admitted to having guns that violate the ordinance, is it “unreasonable search and seizure” when the strong arm of the law shows up to take his guns? Stay tuned…

So unBoulder – Working, Middle-Class Americans Support Trump’s Troops on Border While the Rich Oppose Plan | Breitbart

The majority of America’s working and middle classes support President Trump’s decision this month to send between 2,000 to 4,000 National Guard troops to the United States-Mexico border to provide logistical help to overwhelmed Border Patrol agents.

The above population doesn’t suffer from the elite psuedo-intellectual group think that pervades in Boulder.

I found this chain migration statistic of interest….

Currently, the U.S. admits more than 1.5 million legal and illegal immigrants every year, with more than 70 percent coming to the country through the process known as “chain migration,” whereby naturalized citizens can bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the U.S.

We should control out borders, that’s not the same as not allowing immigration or not having well controlled guest worker programs.

RIP Art Bell – Pahrump-based radio host Art Bell dies at 72 – Las Vegas Review-Journal

Bell’s paranormal-themed show, “Coast to Coast AM,” was syndicated on about 500 North American stations in the 1990s before he left the nightly show in 2002. He broadcast the show from Pahrump’s KNYE 95.1 FM, a station he founded.

His shows were entertaining if not at times outlandish.

Both hands clapping. Did NOT see this coming – Trump Announces Unprecedented Support for Legalizing Marijuana – Hit & Run : Reason.com

This is huge, as it would unambiguously allow states to pursue legalization without worrying about a federal crackdown such as the one proposed by Attorney General Jeff Sessions at the start of this year. An unambiguous ally in the White House would also go a long way to ending skittishness on the part of banks and other firms to engage with pot-related industry in states where such business is legal. At Marijuana Moment, Angell writes that the details of the “legislative solution” Sen. Gardner mentions are not know yet, but the Colorado Republican said it will amount to a “universal fix” to all questions regarding pot legalization.

I’m not particularly a fan, but I’m also sick and tired of government thugs screwing with people who wish to use MJ not to mention Neanderthal idiots like Jeff Sessions who believe it’s a gateway drug.

The middle and upper middle class will be scrambling for Obamacare alternatives for 2019. – Top insurance official warns of coming ObamaCare premium hikes | TheHill

Insurers have warned that premiums could increase by nearly 30 percent for ObamaCare plans, although many people receive subsidies that shield them from those increases. The hardest-hit are people who make too much income to qualify for subsidies.

A group nobody cares about.

Is this a win? – Althouse: The new federal legislation that closed down Backpage.com “is creating an actual market for pimps.”

I’m not so sure. It’s not called the “world’s oldest profession” for no reason. I’m not a fan but driving these women back to the street and to pimps seems nonsensical.

Rules are for you and me, not the elite – De Blasio Aide Arrested With Unmarked Gun | The Daily Caller

A high-level deputy in New York Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Office of Criminal Justice was arrested Saturday evening for being in a car with a loaded 9mm handgun that had its serial number scratched off.

Reagan Stevens, 42, was with two men in a dark red Infiniti SUV when police caught up with them in Queens, where they found the loaded gun inside the glove compartment, the New York Post reports.

Police were searching for the car in connection to an alleged shooting — surveillance footage from nearby shows several shots fired from the SUV, sources told the Post.

None of the three in the car admitted to owning the gun, so the authorities charged each of the three with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. The driver, 25-year-old Caesar Forbes and Montel Hughes, 24, who sat in the front seat, were also charged with carrying knives.

Don’t you get it, the elites who write and influence the rules the rank and file must follow, they live under a different set of rules. This will continue until we stop it.

SHOUT OUT – Wells Fargo Resists Union Threats Aimed at Getting It to Drop Gun Manufacturer Clients – Volokh Conspiracy : Reason.com

The American Federation of Teachers is demanding that Wells Fargo drop its relationship with gun manufacturers (and with the NRA). To its credit, Wells Fargo isn’t budging. As the response from the CEO said (alongside the usual, and understandable, we-hear-you-and-we-want-you-to-be-our-friends business-speak),As I have publicly stated, I do not believe that the American public wants banks to decide which legal products consumers can and cannot buy.I’m not a Wells Fargo customer, but I’m considering switching from U.S. Bank (for practical reasons, not political ones), and this raised Wells Fargo’s standing in my mind. Indeed, I even called their customer service line to pass along my compliments.

I was with Wells years ago in Longmont and was no fan of their customer service. They also have had other well publicized issues recently. That said, credit where credit is due.

So Amazon – Apple CEO Tim Cook: Ads That Track You Are ‘Creepy’ | Breitbart

“To me it’s creepy when I look at something and all of a sudden it’s chasing me all the way across the web,” declared Cook. “I don’t like that.”

But….

Despite claiming to be uncomfortable with advertisements that track users, Apple’s virtual assistant Siri, which can be found on most iPhones, has been criticized for the feature that allows it to be in a constant state of listening.

Me, I don’t talk to my phone and to my knowledge it isn’t set up to listen.
