The short answer, please DON’T have any children: How Do You Decide to Have a Baby When Climate Change Is Remaking Life on Earth? | The Nation

The world is not coming to an end and it’s not becoming a miserable place to live due to climate change. Nuclear winter is infinitely more likely.

The Donald is dealing from a losing deck, he just doesn’t know it yet – A Cruz Supporter Shares a Side of Heidi Cruz You’ve Never Seen After Trump’s Attacks on Her Looks

From Ted Cruz footsoldier Zachary Zupan:

Here’s a photo from the campaign trail that I’ve never shared. This is Heidi Cruz waiting in the cold to talk to a New Hampshire voter. She did this campaign work with me and three other kids. It was unglamorous: no media, no crowds, just a woman canvassing a neighborhood with a couple volunteers, trying to find someone to talk to about why she believed in her husband. Kind, genuine, humble: when the cameras she knows about are off, this is who Heidi Cruz is.
This is the woman whose character and reputation Donald Trump saw fit to malign without evidence. This is the woman whose appearance Donald Trump mocked, comparing her to his own supermodel wife. This is the real life, flesh and blood target of Donald Trump’s broadcast venom, the kind of person he thinks we should all hold in derision.
You don’t need my analysis of what that says about either of them.
Draw your own conclusions. Act accordingly.

Sorry Seagate followers, this is old stale news – Hackers Nab Seagate Employee W-2s Via Phishing Scam | News & Opinion | PCMag.com

The incident occurred on March 2, when phishers sent a Seagate employee what appeared to be a legitimate internal company note requesting the W-2 forms. The employee obliged, inadvertently sending the information to hackers.

Seagate notified federal authorities about the phishing attack, and is now offering affected employees a two-year membership for credit monitoring services, though as Krebs pointed out, that will not protect them from tax refund fraud.

“We deeply regret this mistake and we offer our sincerest apologies to everyone affected,” the company said.

“Seagate is aggressively analyzing where process changes are needed and we will implement those changes as quickly as we can.” (emphasis added)

Let me help out the management wizards at Seagate. At the very least, no financial or employee information should be sent via unenypted email ever. As an added layer of security, this data should be encrypted on any hard drive it resides on. This is not rocket science.

Amateur hour, although I feel sorry for the employee that actually sent the information.

Does not fit the narrative – Donald Trump Rhetoric — Black Lives Matter Just as Bad – Heather Mac Donald (writing at National Review)

Conclusion:

To the mainstream media, Black Lives Matter’s claims and academic identity politics are not “divisive,” they are simple truth. But if you don’t accept those truth claims — and the data refute them — the vitriolic anti-cop rhetoric of the last year and a half, and its underpinning in academic victimology, easily match the alleged divisiveness of anything that Trump has said.

Hillary was way to busy having relations with classified documents – Source: Clinton IT specialist revealing server details to FBI, ‘devastating witness’ | Fox News

Former Hillary Clinton IT specialist Bryan Pagliano, a key witness in the email probe who struck an immunity deal with the Justice Department, has told the FBI a range of details about how her personal email system was set up, according to an intelligence source close to the case who called him a “devastating witness.”

Her excuse…

She then added her now standard explanation that nothing she sent or received was marked classified at the time. While technically correct, the distinction appears misleading. The January 2009 classified information non-disclosure agreement signed by Clinton says she understood that classified information could be marked and unmarked, as well as verbal communications.

Classification is based on content, not markings.

American’s who aren’t blinded by the Democratic party of today are fed up with this type of obfuscation. We are tired of this type of bullshit coming out of the mouths of the political and media elite. That’s why Donald Trump is able to get so much traction. I’m not fan of “The Donald” but I will vote for him in the general election.

No business being President of the United States. None at all. What a lousy political class.

Boulder is a stoopid place – Boulder could seek head tax in 2017 to pay for citywide EcoPass – Boulder Daily Camera

However, the results of a December survey for Boulder County by Talmey-Drake Research and Strategy Inc. found that a countywide property tax to pay for an EcoPass likely would fail, with only 45 percent saying they would support raising taxes by $50 a year on a $400,000 home to pay for the passes.

Apparently the county still has a slight bit of sanity remaining. The city… no so much…

However, 63 percent of those surveyed in the city of Boulder said they would pay an extra $50 a year in taxes to pay for an EcoPass.

To summarize, Boulder is a stoopid place and the city is more stoopid than the county.

Your cash is NOT Trash – Glenn Reynolds: Cash is the currency of freedom

Cash has a lot of virtues. One of them is that it allows people to engage in voluntary transactions without the knowledge or permission of anyone else. Governments call this suspicious, but the rest of us call it something else: Freedom.

Freedom is being taken away bit by bit, so slowly you don’t even notice. Another person’s freedom taken away might not matter to you and by the time the piece of freedom you care about is taken away it will probably be too late. Wake up.

Ben Shapiro, “I am the balance.” – University President Shuts Down Conservative Journalist’s Speech, Citing ‘Free Exchange of Ideas’ | Mediaite

In response to the University canceling the event so that alternate points of view can be presented…

But Shapiro and YAF point to the fact that left-wing activists like Cornel West and Angela Davis have been allowed to speak at student events without the need for a conservative response. “Did Covino go out of his way to ensure students attending any one of these events had the opportunity to ‘consider multiple viewpoints?’” YAF asks. “Has he ever canceled other events for failing to meet his standard of ‘inclusivity?’”

Shapiro’s responded in his trademark bombastic fashion, saying the event would go on regardless. “The campus fascists have taken over,” he said. “I pay taxes in the state of California; I’m paying for these whiny children to be indoctrinated by radical leftists.”

“For CSULA to pretend that they’re trying to provide balance isn’t just stupid, it’s insultingly stupid. I am the balance, and they’re too afraid to let me speak,” he said. “These aren’t diversity warriors. They’re jackbooted thugs.”

Go Ben go…

A sneak climate change denier attack took place on the University of Colorado campus Monday night. Paris, Global warming, Steven Hayward – Thanks to Boulder Power Line Readers | Power Line

Now the funny part of the evening came during the question period, and there were so many Power Line readers in the audience that nearly all of the questions were hostile questions at the conventional environmentalists on the panel—some of them sharply hostile. I only got one critical question, and some parts of it were actually pretty good (I say “parts” because no one seems to ask a question or make a statement these days that doesn’t come in several parts from all over the place, though I did note to this questioner that he left out of his kitchen sink question the obligatory attack on Citizens United).

As this virtual inquisition continued to build I regretted that I had forgotten to bring popcorn, and couldn’t help but have some sympathy for the other folks on the panel who must have surely been thinking—”What the hell is happening here? I thought this was Boulder?? Where are the liberals? What brought on this perverse parallel universe?” (emphasis added)

Job well done, sorry I missed it.

Feel the Bern: US Marshals arresting people for not paying their federal student loans – Story | KRIV

Sounds like lifetime employement for the US Marshals.

Update 2/17. I’ve read somewhere, and I’m too lazy to find the link, that the arrest is not due to non-payment of student loans, but ignoring a court summons related to non-payment of the loans.
