Well my 7th grader just returned from the 2nd day of Algebra I with “great news”. The teacher does not assign homework. Scientific studies you know.
Color me very very disappointed. I’m particularly disappointed that the Principal of this school, who I have very great respect for, would allow this teaching philosophy to exist.
On the bright side, there will be problems assigned if the students “feel” they need extra work, but there will be no grades recorded.
I would say “thank you St. Vrain Valley School District” but I’m sure the same philosophy exits in the Boulder Valley School District as well.
