Susan Osborne: Xcel’s tactics to hold onto city are unethical – Boulder Daily Camera

What a waste of space from former Boulder Mayor Susan Osborne: Xcel’s tactics to hold onto city are unethical – Boulder Daily Camera.

No mention of the potential 5000 county residents that would be annexed by the City that got no vote. Talk about ethics.

How convenient that the potential annexation came to light AFTER the vote. C’mon DC, do you really believe that some of the Boulder intellectuals that are in favor of municipalization weren’t aware of Xcel’s power distribution?  Me thinks someone “bit there tongue”, don’t you? Why don’t you do some investigative reporting and find out? Oh, perhaps because the DC has it’s own agenda in favor of municipalization?

Meanwhile neither the City or the County can take care of their roads. The County at least believes they did it legally and went through a procedure to “make it so”. The City government is simply incompetent.

Both the City and the County have much more interest in doing “social engineering” and “saving the planet” then in actually providing the basic services of government.

  1. Mark says:

Boulder is seen as one big project where a bunch of NGO’s get to experiment on it.
