Colorado Amendment 66: “At what point in time do Democrat donors realize they’re throwing good money after bad?”

Hopefully not anytime soon! – SETTING THE SPIN: Floyd Ciruli Says Highly Funded Amendment 66 Loss Would Be “Very Big News”

When the billion dollar tax increase Amendment 66 is declared defeated in a little more than a week’s time there will be some serious ‘splaining to do to liberal donors who ponied up what’s expected to be at least $10 million.

The opposition has spent virtually nothing, leading to this question…

When in Colorado political history can you remember any issue, ever, having such a massive spending disparity? Even in the historic recall elections, Democrats only held a 7-1 spending advantage.

I did find the Colorado “No on Amendment 66 “ Facebook page. I can’t find a web page dedicated to defeating Amendment 66, although the Independence Institutes web page isn’t a bad place to start.

Can I have one please?

Energy boom puts wells in American’s backyards | Fox News.

The Wall Street Journal analyzed well location and census data for more than 700 counties in 11 major energy-producing states. At least 15.3 million Americans lived within a mile of a well that has been drilled since 2000. That is more people than live in Michigan or New York City.

Apparently you can run but you can’t hide.

Message to John McCain: Don’t run in 2016

Meghan McCain: Tea Party Has My Dad Really ‘Depressed’ And ‘Frustrated’ « Pat Dollard.
And your version of politicians got the United States of America $17,000,000,000,000 in debt. Why isn’t John McCain depressed about that?

Have you heard about the Tea Party Conspiracy?

Obamacare: You can’t keep your plan…

CBS Reports. Oh why, oh why is this such a surprise. Because the MSM was busy promoting something they didn’t understand.

About 1/2 of the 14 million people who buy insurance on their own are not going to be able to keep their policies they had previously.

Sticker shock.

Now I’m being forced to choose from a bunch of new plans that I don’t want to choose from that are all more expensive.

Natalie Willis had a plan with a $1500 deductible she liked just fine for $199/mo. Now she can pay $278/mo for a $6500 deductible plan. Thanks Obama and thanks Kaiser for kicking her off when there are mechanisms where they could have extended their present plans until December of 2014.

Trickle down damage of Obamacare to Medicare Advantage

Elderly patients sick over losing doctors under ObamaCare | New York Post.

ObamaCare is making seniors sick.

Elderly New Yorkers are in a panic after getting notices that insurance companies are booting their doctors from the Medicare Advantage program as a result of the shifting medical landscape under ObamaCare.

That leaves patients with unenviable choices: keep the same insurance plan and find another doctor, pay out of pocket or look for another plan where their physician is a member.

I thought you could keep your doctor.

Earline Davis on Sean Hannity radio show

Exclusive: Fired ObamaCare operator speaks out | Fox News Video.

Sean steps up for healthcare.gov phone operator that lost her job due to taking his call on his radio show. I would say the government lost a well spoken, polite employee. Very bad move.

Sean Hannity and his listening audience, very good move.

Obamacare inside the castle walls

Instapundit » Blog Archive » LET THEM EAT OBAMACARE: Sebelius: I Haven’t Tried To Sign Up For Obamacare Because I Have Health

It’s time for Kathleen Sebelius to have a well deserved break from employment. I wonder if she’s terminated “for cause” if she’s eligible for COBRA. That would make Obamacare front and center in a real hurry.

Obama’s Obamacare message

Obama’s message | Power Line.

It was thought that Obama’s Rose Garden event today would include a discussion of the serious technical issues that have hobbled the rollout of Healthcare.gov since October 1. That doesn’t quite seem to be the case. There was no reckoning with his description of the problem as a “glitch” or any accounting of where we are now. It was a campaign-like event full of the accustomed BS and balderdash.

According to the White House Web site, Obama was “joined by consumers, small business owners, and pharmacists who have either benefitted [sic] from the health care law already or are helping consumers learn about what the law means for them and how they can get covered. The group [] include[d] individuals who have already applied for and enrolled in quality, affordable coverage through the Marketplaces and those who are planning to after exploring and comparing their new health care options.” Everything is (basically) beautiful. Byron York has already posted a terrific column documenting and assessing Obama’s remarks.

I deduce a couple of messages. Message to the people: He thinks you’re stupid. Message to the media: He thinks you’re compliant tools. (emphasis added)

I can’t argue with either of these deductions. The voters will get to vote. The media, they get to go out of business.

“Progress”: Hospitals reject six ObamaCare plans

Cost containment, well it has a cost – Hospitals reject six ObamaCare plans | New York Post.

ObamaCare was supposed to offer more choices — but New Yorkers shopping for medical coverage stand to be shut out of two of the city’s most prestigious hospitals.

Only three of the nine plans being offered on the New York State Health Exchange cover bills at NYU and New York-Presbyterian medical centers, The Post has learned.

Those who opt for the other six plans will either have to go elsewhere or pay steep out-of-pocket costs, officials said.

Records show that New York-Presbyterian, the largest hospital system in the nation with 2,236 beds, is an in-network choice only for the United, Emblem and Aetna plans when chosen through the exchange.

The New York University system, which as 1,069 beds at its main Langone medical facility as well as its Hospital for Joint Diseases, has deals with Affinity, Fidelis and United, and for individuals with Oxford-United for small groups.

NYU and New York-Presbyterian continue to accept most commercial health insurance that is not regulated by ObamaCare.

“It’s a desperate attempt by the insurance companies to try to keep premiums down under ObamaCare. The only way to do that is to cut the number of hospitals patients can see use,” said Josh Archambault of the Foundation for Government Accountability.

It’s fairly straightforward, the lowet cost plans of the same metal network have the lower cost plans. If you want a broader network or you travel you need to take the network participation of the plans you are reviewing seriously.

The Most Dangerous Line Uttered During The Debt Ceiling Debate | Zero Hedge

The Most Dangerous Line Uttered During The Debt Ceiling Debate | Zero Hedge.

“We must increase our debt limit so that we can pay our bills.”

Let me slip this in…

Things that can’t go on forever, won’t. Debt that can’t be repaid, won’t be. Promises that can’t be kept, won’t be.

– Glenn Harlan Reynolds/Instapundit

Back to our regular scheduled program…

The most disturbing sentence uttered during the debt ceiling debate/government shut down, that should raise some concerns by both political parties, is:

“We must increase our debt limit so that we can pay our bills.”

Think about that for a moment. The U.S. has become the single largest debtor nation on the planet as welfare dependency rises, government spending continues to increase and economic growth slows. However, what is ironic about this situation, is that it is the continuing increases in debt which is directly responsible for the decreases in economic growth. The chart below shows government debt as a percentage of GDP as compared to annualized rate of change in economic growth. (emphasis added)

That is what’s called a recipe for success!

Healthcare.gov amateur hour

Hope & Change and a screwed up launch of Obama’s signature legislation – Former official: Admin refused to bring in outside help for ObamaCare website for fear GOP would subpoena them; Update: Ten-year-old technology? Update: No improvement in week two; Update: Wasn’t tested until days before launch? « Hot Air.

If you’d staked your party’s credibility on realizing the utopian dream of universal health care only to have Obama deliver this fartburger, you’d be furious. Why anyone on either side still wants Sebelius in charge, I have no idea.

The general public will start to get a clue in the near future. It won’t be a pretty picture for the Democrats.
