The biggest issue for Hillary Clinton is not age – The Washington Post

So, no the race is not primarily about age but about corruption, and the Clintons’ embodiment of the very inequality they complain about — when other people are involved.

Then she’s old.

Source: Why Cant White House Just Say ISIS Beheaded Christians? – Investors.com

White House statement condemns beheading of Egyptian “citizens” but has no mention that those beheaded by Islamic State were Coptic Christians.

Wonder why? Apparently random attacks.

No mention of the Islamic State video of the massacre that cited their Christian faith as the reason for this, er, hate crime. A caption in the video described the 21 not as mere citizens, but as “the people of the cross, followers of the hostile Egyptian church.”

Not being able to “see truth” is a real problem for the Obama administration. Of course, that’s just fine for Boulderites, who are experts at the same delusions.

Really? I Would Call This Mom the Mother of the Year | Dr. Helen

Me too. Way to go Baltimore Mom. Baltimore could use a helluva lot more Mom’s like you.

Maybe Mrs. Bolyard lost her cool in her own circumstances for reasons that were uncalled for; this happens to parents and is not a good thing. But to compare an uncontrolled act of parenting to the justified anger that this Baltimore mom had in this dangerous and outrageous situation is wrong. To call it poor parenting is to misunderstand the difference between good parenting and feelings of guilt for lacking control. This mother was in control and she was teaching her son that his behavior warranted a strong response. I say a smack on the head here was the least of this teen’s problems. If in the end he resents his mother for it, so what? Better that than end up in jail or dead because his mother was too concerned about appearing controlled. This situation called for a strong reaction and this mother was brave enough to rise to the occasion. It was an act of good parenting.

Do they sell these at Whole Foods in Boulder?  People love chickens that are “vegetarian fed.” But chickens are not vegetarians. – The Washington Post

Food companies advertise that their hens get vegetarian diets, but chickens are omnivores, and their nutrition depends on proteins often unavailable in vegetarian sources.

Well Observe Earth Day When the EPA Observes the Law, Small Business Federation Declares | MRCTV.

The EPA recently submitted to the White House its final rule expanding the Clean Water Act, adopted by Congress three decades ago to protect navigable waterways like rivers and bays.  Under the rule, the agency could have jurisdiction over virtually any water no matter how local, including backyard streams, farmers’ ponds and even creek beds and depressions that are only wet for a few days a year.

Regulatory agencies are supposed to assess how new rules will affect small businesses.  In this case, however, the EPA bypassed that step, arguing that the new rule is merely a definitional change and does not, therefore, require a small business impact study.

“That’s a pretty self-serving interpretation,” said Bosch.  “The President, who may support the new rule, should nevertheless respect the process and require the EPA to perform the analysis.”

Crazy.

What is the real trouble with boys? Well, simply put, they are not girls.

What Is the Cost of Educating Boys Like Girls? | PJ Lifestyle.

For example, the time I explained a math problem to my son, for the umpteenth time. He had struggled with the concept for several days. This time, I secretly impressed myself. A mental news roll streamed through the back of my mind. “Brilliant explanation,” I thought. “This makes it all so crystal clear.” Just as my self-congratulatory thoughts began, I saw it. That flash of light in his eyes that showed actual brain activity.
“I got it!” he blurted.
“Yes!” I thought to myself. Waiting with the anticipation usually reserved for Christmas morning, I leaned in.
“Mom, you know that motor on the old lawn mower? Can I put that on my go-cart?”
As my over-inflated bubble of expectations burst into flames, all I could muster was, “No. However, you can go outside. Don’t come in for at least 30 minutes.”
Your first impression might be that I just gave up on the boy and sent him outside to play–and you would be wrong. I released him from captivity to burn off energy. It was a necessary move so that he could come back in and concentrate.
This is where a homeschool setting has the advantage over a public educational system simmered in cultural Marxism. Unlike teachers, mothers are not required to pound their boys into a cultural and political mold.
Rather than being appreciated for the future explorers, warriors and leaders they were designed to be, boys are viewed as defective little girls. Teachers want them to love reading and play nice, and no one wants to know where their hands have been. What is the real trouble with boys? Well, simply put, they are not girls.
Boys are no longer judged by their developmental standards. We have lost sight of a very basic tenet of humanity, one that our ancestors understood since the beginning of time: girls are very different from boys. Boys with uniquely masculine strengths, once prized, are no longer valued. In fact, these traits of boyhood are considered dangerous, even pathological.

They are not girls. Who could have figured that one out?

Remember, law enforcement officers are allowed to lie

Remember, law enforcement officers are allowed to lie, as it’s an effective tool in fighting crime.

via Hot Cash And Cold Consent | Simple Justice.

Do NOT consent. Ever.

That those of us who object to such improper law enforcement abuses decry such tactics is one thing, but to have the Inspector General join in attempting to stop this abuse is huge. If nothing else, Mike Horowitz deserves props for doing his job, and doing it well, which may explain why the law enforcement agencies never invite him to their beer blasts.

From the comments…

NEVER NEVER get into that kind of conversation with an officer! Here is the template and it should be your ONLY template:

COP: Is it okay of I search your baggage?
YOU: I do not consent to a search of any of my property.
C: Oh yeah? Why is that?
Y: I do not consent to a search of my property.
C: You hiding something here?
Y: I do not consent to a search of any of my property.

That is the ONLY answer you give from now until the eschaton. You do not have to submit to an interrogation and you do not have to explain at all why you do not consent to a search.

(I have nine years law enforcement-agency experience, btw.)

Coming soon – It’s not just 47 Republican’s anymore…

House Prepares to Join Senate on Iran | Power Line.

A spokesman for Engel told VOA that 363 House members, Republicans and Democrats, signed the letter.

“It’s truly a very bipartisan letter expressing Congress’ strong feelings about things that need to be in the agreement,” Engel said during the committee hearing. “Congress really needs to play a very active and vital role in this whole process, and any attempts to sidestep Congress will be resisted on both sides of the aisle [ by both Democrats and Republicans].”

I guess Congress is worried about becoming irrelevant. I’d be worried if I were them.

Bachelor Nation

Helen Smith – Bachelor Nation: 70% of Men Aged 20-34 Are Not Married

The article takes pity on the poor women. Helen Smith, a staunch defender of men’s right (both hands clapping btw), remarks…

It seems that Crouse and her crowd are watching too many Say Yes to the Dress episodes. So what matters is that women’s dreams are shattered? What about the bleak prospects for millions of men across the country who get very little legal or psychological protection from marriage? Now that’s what’s very, very depressing. Change that and maybe more men will be interested. (emphasis added)

Sounds like these men are pretty smart, eh?

This is an excellent time to recommend Helen’s excellent book, Men On Strike.

Democrats need a fresh face

No kidding – 54% Think Democrats Should Run A Fresh Face in 2016 – Rasmussen Reports™. The same goes for Republicans by the way.

Eighty-four percent (84%) of Democrats have a favorable opinion of Clinton. Predictably, 80% of GOP voters view her unfavorably, and 70% think Democrats should look for a fresh face next year.

Perhaps of greater concern to Democrats is the finding that 56% of voters not affiliated with either major party also view Clinton unfavorably, including 34% with a Very Unfavorable opinion. Fifty-eight percent (58%) of these voters think the Democratic Party should find someone new to run in 2016.

The older the voter, the more likely he or she is to have an unfavorable opinion of Clinton.

Back to the Republican’s, I don’t consider Jeb Bush a fresh face. Perhaps it’s not fair to him, but this is the United States, we don’t need a dynasty.

That said, one thing the Republican’s have in great supply is fresh faces. The Democrats… not so much.

The most transparent administration evah…

Administration sets record for withholding government files.

The Obama administration set a record again for censoring government files or outright denying access to them last year under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act, according to a new analysis of federal data by The Associated Press.

The government took longer to turn over files when it provided any, said more regularly that it couldn’t find documents and refused a record number of times to turn over files quickly that might be especially newsworthy.

It also acknowledged in nearly 1 in 3 cases that its initial decisions to withhold or censor records were improper under the law — but only when it was challenged.

Its backlog of unanswered requests at year’s end grew remarkably by 55 percent to more than 200,000. It also cut by 375, or about 9 percent, the number of full-time employees across government paid to look for records. That was the fewest number of employees working on the issue in five years.

One would think this would be a “Houston we have a problem” moment for the administration. Well, you would be wrong. From White House spokesman Josh Earnest…

“We actually do have a lot to brag about,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest said.

Earnest on Wednesday praised agencies for releasing information before anyone requested it, such as the salaries and titles of White House employees. He cited more than 125,000 sets of data posted on a website, data.gov, which include historical temperature charts, records of agricultural fertilizer consumption, Census data, fire deaths and college crime reports.

“When it comes to our record on transparency, we have a lot to be proud of,” he told reporters aboard Air Force One. “And frankly, it sets a standard that future administrations will have to live up to.”

You can’t make this stuff up.

More college men are fighting back against sexual misconduct cases – LA Times

More college men are fighting back against sexual misconduct cases – LA Times.

Peter Yu, Drew Sterrett and Lewis McLeod were headed toward bright futures at prestigious colleges and universities when each got involved in one-night sexual encounters..

All three young men claimed the encounters were consensual — but the women asserted otherwise. In each case, campus officials found the men responsible for sexual assault and expelled or suspended them.

But all three are pushing back, suing the schools on charges that their rights to a fair hearing were violated.

As universities and colleges launch intensified efforts against sexual misconduct, more cases are shifting from campuses to courtrooms.

Which is exactly where they should be.

$15 minimum wage and intended consequences

More Seattle restaurants close doors as $15 minimum wage approaches | AgainstCronyCapitalism.org.

It’s not like suddenly Seattle won’t have any restaurants. It just won’t have any restaurants at which people of modest means can eat. It also won’t have as many mom and pop immigrant owned restaurants.

Too bad as Seattle is one of the great food cities of the world.

Bet that’s news to Obama and his Democrat lackeys

Obama Cant Force His Iran Deal on the Country without Congress’s Consent.

It is no secret that Barack Obama does not have much use for the United States Constitution. It is a governing plan for a free, self-determining people. Hence, it is littered with roadblocks against schemes to rule the people against their will. When it comes to our imperious president’s scheme to enable our enemy, Iran, to become a nuclear-weapons power — a scheme that falls somewhere between delusional and despicable, depending on your sense of Obama’s good faith — the salient barrier is that only Congress can make real law.
Most lawmakers think it would be a catastrophe to forge a clear path to the world’s most destructive weapons for the world’s worst regime — a regime that brays “Death to America” as its motto; that has killed thousands of Americans since 1979; that remains the world’s leading state sponsor of jihadist terrorism; that pledges to wipe our ally Israel off the map; and that just three weeks ago, in the midst of negotiations with Obama, conducted a drill in which its armed forces fired ballistic missiles at a replica U.S. aircraft carrier.
This week, 47 perspicuous Republican senators suspected that the subject of congressional power just might have gotten short shrift in Team Obama’s negotiations with the mullahs. So they penned a letter on the subject to the regime in Tehran. The effort was led by Senator Tom Cotton (R., Ark.), who, after Harvard Law School, passed up community organizing for the life of a Bronze Star–awarded combat commander. As one might imagine, Cotton and Obama don’t see this Iran thing quite the same way.
There followed, as night does day, risible howls from top Democrats and their media that these 47 patriots were “traitors” for undermining the president’s empowerment of our enemies. Evidently, writing the letter was not as noble as, say, Ted Kennedy’s canoodling with the Soviets, Nancy Pelosi’s dalliance with Assad, the Democratic party’s Bush-deranged jihad against the war in Iraq, or Senator Barack Obama’s own back-channel outreach to Iran during the 2008 campaign. Gone, like a deleted e-mail, were the good old days when dissent was patriotic.
Yet, as John Yoo observes, the Cotton letter was more akin to mailing Ayatollah Khamenei a copy of the Constitution. The senators explained that our Constitution requires congressional assent for international agreements to be legally binding. Thus, any “executive agreement” on nukes that they manage to strike with the appeaser-in-chief is unenforceable and likely to be revoked when he leaves office in 22 months. For Obama and other global-governance grandees, this is quaint thinking, elevating outmoded notions like national interest over “sustainable” international “stability” — like the way Hitler stabilized the Sudetenland. These “international community” devotees see the Tea Party as the rogue and the mullahs as rational actors.
The Constitution is an “inconvenient truth” to Obama, it’s a document he is trying to turn into an irrelevant relic. With the full support of the Democratic party I might add.
