At one time there used to be an “about me” page, but it must have been on the old Blogger version of this site which has been defunct for a number of years.
I used to be an electrical engineer in the disk drive industry. Got tired of it, don’t work in the disk drive industry or engineering anymore. Probably one of my “dumber than a box or rocks” moments. I post about whatever interests me, which is typically the opposite of most Boulderite’s positions. I’m particularly fascinated/agitated/disgusted by the arrogance of the typical Boulderite. The group think is so great that it doesn’t even occur to the “person on the street” that they could possibly meet anyone that isn’t a member of “the cult.”
I’m not sure when I left “the collective,” but I’m guessing it happened around 1992/93, although I didn’t realize it then. Surely seeds were planted prior to that time and I didn’t realize the degree of my differences with the typical (progressive) Boulderite until many years later. Stealing the title to Robert Heinliein’s book, but not necessarily the meaning as I haven’t read it in many years and remember very little, I do feel like a “stranger in a strange land.”
