Circumventing labor laws…

I spoke with a client yesterday afternoon, he works in asbestos removal. I suspect he works through an employment agency or I don’t know how this situation could occur.

The work is intense and he’s on call a large part of the time. It turns out he works for two companies. Once he reaches 40 hours, he changes employers to avoid the overtime.

Doesn’t seem legal?
