I better post before You Tube pulls this down. I guess this would be fairly difficult since it’s Congressional hearing. Ted Cruz takes on Mark Zuckerberg.
“Damn” was her audible response
I recently heard a surprising story: A female CEO was briefed on a stellar candidate for a top job at her company. “Sounds ideal,” she said to the group in the room. “Male or female?” Male was the answer. “Damn” was her audible response. The guy wasn’t even interviewed. Why Are Men SilentSearch BIS

I’ve been hearing complaints about this from conservatives, to the effect that companies like Facebook and Twitter need to be broken up. They’re too powerful. I don’t like that idea. I’d much rather see competitors see this as an opportunity, and try to exploit it, and maybe then these incumbent social networks would shape up.
It’s hard for me to tell if Zuckerberg was being evasive, or if he was unprepared to answer the questions. My own opinion is it was the latter. I was left with the impression that perhaps he didn’t know what was going on inside his own company. Other analysts seem to have a similar opinion, that he’s not minding the store as a chief executive should, and they need someone more experienced to take the reins. I think that’s possible.
Well, I just posted a fairly long reply to your comment that disappeared into the ether. I don’t have time to reconstruct. I came back to share this blog post from Instapundit:

ANOTHER TWO CENTS ON ZUCKERBERG IN FRONT OF SEN. CRUZ: To me, the most stunning statement was when Zuckerberg says he “is not familiar with Section 230″ (the law that protects ISPs from liability for third-party content.) That would be like the CEO of SmithKline saying he doesn’t know anything about pharmaceutical testing rules.
If his lawyers — after all this time — never briefed him on Section 230, he is either lying, willfully ignorant, or being poorly served by his legal team.

The above supports that he’s not up to speed on important issues affecting FB.
