C’mon Boulderites, open those wallets – The DNC is reportedly ‘dead broke.’ The RNC has nearly $40 million.
“Damn” was her audible response
I recently heard a surprising story: A female CEO was briefed on a stellar candidate for a top job at her company. “Sounds ideal,” she said to the group in the room. “Male or female?” Male was the answer. “Damn” was her audible response. The guy wasn’t even interviewed. Why Are Men SilentSearch BIS

I’ve gotten two calls from Democratic fundraisers in the last few months, trying to raise money for the upcoming campaign season. I’ve told them I haven’t been a registered Democrat in 26 years, and then find an opportunity to end the call. It seems to me they’re scraping the bottom of the barrel if they’re trying to hit me up for cash, though I have been registered Unaffiliated since last summer. Most Boulder voters are Unaffiliated, but most of them vote for leftist policies here. So, I guess their odds of getting a positive response from independents here is very good.
Wow, I wonder if I’ve gotten a call and not answered. I was a registered Democrat not that along ago (for the purpose of voting in the primary).
I agree that although Boulder has a large contingent of unaffiliated voters, to think they don’t lean left requires a significant does of “willful ignorance.” In other words, the unaffiliated voters are fooling themselves that they are independent thinkers, a typical pseudo intellectual Boulder thing to do. Of course, with our new primary laws, there is little reason for them to affiliate going forward. Perhaps that’s also a reason the unaffiliated list is being contacted.
I do hope your analysis is correct that they have closed their wallets/pocketbooks. I’m slightly skeptical but hoping you are correct.
