Obesity bacteria related?

Scientists link obesity to gut bacteria(registration required)

Researchers in Shanghai identified a human bacteria linked with obesity, fed it to mice and compared their weight gain with rodents without the bacteria. The latter did not become obese despite being fed a high-fat diet and being prevented from exercising.

Peer reviewed research. I expect anti-obesity crusader Erika Stutzman from the Boulder Daily Camera to pick up on this bacteria hypothesis and share it with her readers. That said, it doesn’t fit the nanny state narrative of having the government control what we consume does it?
