I wonder if the reason he got booed is due to the fact that he used the term “Obamacare.” Romney got booed at the NAACP when he cited “Obamacare” as well. I've heard Democrats say they consider the term derisive. It could also be that the AARP endorsed the ACA. Whatever.
I agree that the AARP is not an organization with which I'd want to be associated (though I'm not of age to care yet). There are conservative-oriented insurance organizations that try to offer similar services as the AARP. Just doing a Google search, there's AMAC, the Association of Mature American Citizens, and the ASA, the American Seniors Association.
