He left Greenpeace a long time ago. Here’s an excerpt from a recent interview detailing his view on climate change…
“… and yes, going back to human cause, there’s nothing to say that humans aren’t having a small effect on the world’s climate, but it’s ridiculous to imagine that now, all of the natural causes that have been causing the climate to change for millions of years have suddenly disappeared and now we’re the only agent of change in the world. That’s not possible. And it may be, and I believe it is true, that the amount of change we’re causing has been exaggerated greatly by the alarmists, and not only that, a little bit of warming might be a good thing for this world, especially for Canada and Russia which is just wastelands now in terms of both biodiversity and human habitation”
Someone tell Clay “Global Warming is Settled Science” Evans of the Boulder Daily Camera (I think!).
The more reasonable of the alarmists would say, I think, that it's not that natural forces in climate variability have ceased to exist. It's just that they're overwhelmed by human influence. Still, they'd have to make the scientific case for that to satisfy me, and to date they haven't. In fact, I remember Bob Carter talking about this, that even though scientists had been looking for years, they hadn't found “the human signal” in climate.
I've tried convincing some alarmists using scientific reasoning, and it's a lost cause. You can even throw some scientific observations their way, and they'll dismiss them out of hand. I've come to discover that the more hardened and least rational alarmists don't base their conclusions on science, but just use “science” as a prop. I suspect they're using what's come to be called “post-normal science.” I don't know too much about it, but from what's described it sounds like pseudoscience to me.

Mark, it's a religion!
News we can use:
Antarctic sea ice set another record this past week, with the most amount of ice ever recorded on day 256 of the calendar year (September 12 of this leap year). Please, nobody tell the mainstream media or they might have to retract some stories and admit they are misrepresenting scientific data.
