Time for new Republican leadership. (what a surprise).
One thing is guaranteed at the conclusion of the NY-23 special congressional election: The Beltway Republicans who endorsed radical leftist Dede Scozzafava are going to have indelible egg stains on their faces. And GOP establishment fund-raising organizations will be the poorer for it.
Me, I’m registered as unaffiliated (or whatever the correct term is), my wife is registered as a Republican. We recently received a fund raising letter from the RNC that I believe we threw away. The next one will be returned with a few choice words. Unbelievable.

According to Dan Reihl my anger directed at the National GOP is misplaced. Still, I see no issue with the National GOP, including Newt Gingrich remaining silent. There IS a good conservative candidate running.
