Boulder needs more money

Yep, so they’re adding red light cameras at the eastbound approach of the Arapahoe and 30th intersection and the eastbound approach of Baseline and 27th way.

Red light runners, looks like you have a little over a month until the cameras are operational.

Cowern said both Arapahoe Avenue at 30th Street and the Baseline intersection have had lots of red-light accidents and made good candidates for the cameras. Installation work will take most of this month, and the cameras are expected to be turned on the first week of April.

In the 5 weeks leading up to the change, why doesn’t the City experiement with longer yellow lights? The Arapahoe and 30th intersection is set to 3.5 seconds. Don’t know what the Baseline and 27th Way timing is set to.
