Apparently the length of the yellow light timing has a large effect on the number of violators caught by the red light camera’s. Like duh!
The soon to be defunct Rocky Mountain News has taken the City of Denver to task as seen in this video from last March…
Wouldn’t it be nice of the news and editorial staff at the Boulder Daily Camera could do similar investigative reporting? Of course, since the paper is in the Cities hip pocket and they are on the same page regarding most key issues, including the “cars are evil” issue, I’m sure it’s never crossed their collective minds.
Makes you wonder if the red light cameras are “all about the money” doesn’t it?
