As Betsy explains, not only are the Democrats not interested in finding out how much oil exists in (on?) the Outer Continental Shelf, they are actively preventing it.
It’s really rather amazing. Obama and the Democrats want to refuse to use modern technology to find out exactly how much oil there might be on the Outer Continental Shelf so that they can use outdated estimates in arguing against expanded drilling. They prefer to keep us all in ignorance rather than making a decision based on the most up-to-date information. They want to shut down all debate on the question and further shut down even the research.
I wish it were either amazing or surprising. If you’re a Democrat NOT in Al Gore’s pocket, please consider exploring alternate Democrats or libertarian candidates.
